Dr. Laurie Veillette is a clinical psychologist with a doctoral degree from Nova Southeastern University. She has extensive experience in providing evidence-based clinical care in both group and individual formats. She worked for seven years in a rural Veterans hospital, where she gained specialized training in health psychology, including clinical interventions for the alleviation of chronic pain, insomnia, body image concerns, binge and emotional eating.

Dr. Veillette is a published researcher with a focus in weight stigma and she is a strong advocate for body respect and inclusion. She has provided Intuitive Eating-aligned clinical services for the past five years in both individual and group formats. Dr. Veillette is particularly passionate about helping individuals heal their relationship with food, body, and movement.

An experienced speaker, Dr. Veillette has delivered professional talks on a number of topics including burnout prevention, whole health, mindfulness, positive psychology, intuitive eating, evidence-based therapeutic practices, integrated care, and weight-inclusive clinical care for physicians. She has ample experience in course and programmatic development, and has held a faculty appointment at Dartmouth College since 2020. Dr. Veillette has served as an instructor and lecturer at the Geisel School of Medicine, an instructor of positive psychology for the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences, a course developer for the Dartmouth precollege online program, and a contributor for the Student Wellness Center.

Dr. Veillette works with adults of all ages and backgrounds, including veterans, individuals with chronic health conditions, people seeking a more peaceful relationship with food, movement, and body, and those navigating the challenges associated with emotional eating concerns, anxiety, or depression. Her clinical approach is compassionate, collaborative, and client‑oriented. She is trained in a wide range of evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Intuitive Eating, and CBT protocols targeting nightmares, insomnia, chronic pain, and binge eating. She is certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD and is a certified group facilitation expert.
